Senior Accountant
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team in Ventura, CA. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: perform month-end closing procedures for Valex's domestic and foreign operations, assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and assist in preparation of monthly management reports and accompanying schedules. The areas of responsibility for this position include accounts receivable, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, and SOX internal control testing.

Manufacturing Engineer III
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer III to join its Engineering team in Ventura, CA. Key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to, identification, evaluation, design, and implementation of cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes and equipment. You will also be responsible for manufacturing productivity improvements, providing technical support to operations and quality departments as needed, drive continuous improvement initiatives, analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process. You will lead major manufacturing engineering projects and look to identify opportunities to utilize lean manufacturing principles where possible.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline plus 4 years’ of applicable experience, or 8+ years’ of applicable experience. Your experience must include completing engineering projects from design to implementation. You must be computer literate (including computer-aided drafting) and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work in the USA without sponsorship.

This is an exempt position with a salary range between $90,000 and $115,000 per year depending on experience.

Facilities Manager

Valex Corp is looking for a Facilities Manager to lead it's team of facilities personnel, including maintenance mechanics, electronic technicians, janitor(s), wastewater handler(s), etc in our Ventura, CA location. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: development and implementation a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all production equipment and supporting infrastructure; scheduling and oversight of routine maintenance activities ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency; utilization of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance work orders, asset history, and inventory; completion of special projects as assigned; and support other foreign and domestic locations (some travel required). You will also collaborate with the Safety team to establish and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.


The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or another related field. You must have proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Quality Engineer
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our Quality Department at our global headquarters in Ventura, CA. Some of the key responsibilities for the position include the following: read and interpret engineering drawings and review blueprints and specifications, use the latest drawing and QCIP to perform dimensional and visual inspections, document non-conforming material reports, create quality control inspection plans, lead and conduct internal audits, write work instructions and train quality inspectors, conduct root cause analysis and correction action, collect test samples and coordinate 3rd party test samples, input material test reports from suppliers, ensure all measuring devices and gauges are calibrated correctly, and all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications for this position include the following: B.A. or B.S. in the field of Engineering or Mathematics plus 2+ years of applicable work experience, or some college and 6+ years of directly related work experience; direct knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 System and Internal Audit; strong knowledge in mechanical engineering disciplines and metrology (GD&T); good mathematical skills; ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment that is based on continuous improvement and team collaboration; and experience in stainless steel products, ASTM and ASME tubing/piping is a plus. The Technical Sales Representative is appointed by and derives his/her authority from the Senior Director, Sales and is directly accountable to him/her. The Technical Sales Representative: Life Science, Pharmaceutical & Aerospace Markets has sufficient authority to exercise the responsibilities and to perform the duties assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Sales Representative: Life Science, Pharmaceutical & Aerospace Markets is responsible for all sales-based functions supporting the Biopharmaceutical, Chromatography, Food & Beverage and Aerospace markets as directed by the Director, Corporate Sales & Marketing. This role requires up to 25-50% travel.

Sales Strategy and Execution of the listed Vertical Markets:

1) Biopharmaceutical

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets:

1) Provide market analysis and customer insights, industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements.

DUTIES

The duties of the Technical Sales Representative: Life Science, Pharmaceutical & Aerospace include, but are not limited to, the following:

Sell to, and support customers, Valex distributors supporting Life Science,

Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage and Aerospace markets.

Provide inside sales team contractual requirements for customers (sales orders, quotes).

Check confirming purchase orders for accuracy.

Monitor order progress and expedite if needed.

Provide copies of all quotations to inside sales support staff.

Provide customer change orders as required to inside sale staff.

Communicate to Director, customer concerns and or satisfaction with service or products.

Collect information necessary for new customers (credit information, shipping

address, freight carrier, etc.) and complete appropriate paperwork for processing.

Collect order status data from inside sales team and advise customer of any revised delivery dates.

Research invoiced margins are on target and communicate discrepancies.

Check all new orders, change orders and back orders for accuracy after processing.

Check pending invoice register against reported sales figures from distribution centers.

Recommend to the Senior Director, Sales policies and procedures which relate to inside sales efficiency.

Perform such other duties as the Senior Director, Sales may delegate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in technical field, or 5 years industry experience.

5 years outside sales experience

Familiarity with CRM software

COMPENSATION

This is an exempt position and the salary range is $85K/hr t0 $120K/yr depending on experience.

Product Design Engineer
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for a Product Design Engineer to join our Engineering team in Ventura, CA. You will design, develop, test, source, and be involved in all aspects of manufacturing and release of new products as well as additions/modifications to existing products. You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of a 3D model library, drawings, sourcing of components, validation testing, procedures and specifications authoring, and production tooling for product lines.


The successful candidate will have a B.S. in Engineering or a related field and 5+ years' experience with Solidworks CAD software with a proficiency in configuration and multiple level assemblies. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be willing to travel (up to 10%). Proficiency in Chinese Mandarin and/or Korean is a plus.

This is a regular, full-time, exempt position and the pay range is $70k/yr to $115K/yr depending on experience.

Orbital Welder 1 & 2 - Round Rock, Texas
Round Rock, TX

Valex is looking for an experienced Orbital Welder to join its growing team in Round Rock, Texas. You must be proficient in complete joint penetration on square butt joints using tube sizes ranging from 1/4" to 1/2" all parts and valves. You must have knowledge of welding with hydrogen/argon purge, achieving an internal purge of 10 PPM. You will set up and calibrate the power supply with correct welding program along with routine and preventative maintenance. You will fabricate within dimensional tolerances as low as as 0.010" and angle tolerances as low as 0.5 degrees. You will perform all other tasks and projects as directed.


The successful candidate will 1-5 years directly related experience. You will also have a high school diploma or equivalency, and preferably a welding certification from a college or welding school.

Pay rate for this position is up to $26.00 per hour depending on experience. $1,000 sign-on bonus payable after successful completion of probation period!

Round Rock, TX

Valex is looking for an experienced tube cutter to join its growing team in Round Rock, Texas. You will measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on material as a template for machining. You will determine the tool type and set machines for proper speed, feed, and coolant flow to optimize machining. You will inspect and replace machine consumables and evaluate operation to certify adequate performance. You will collaborate with Engineering/Machining to design and use holding fixtures. You will perform other tasks and projects as directed.


The successful candidate will have 0-2 years of tube cutting experience, and will have a high school diploma or equivalency.

Pay rate for this position is up to $22.00 per hour depending on experience. $1,000 sign-on bonus payable after successful completion of probation period!

Manufacturing Engineering Technician
Round Rock, TX

Valex Corp is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join its team in Round Rock, Texas. Some of the key responsibilities of the position include creating weldment and assembly quotes for customers based on their requested specifications, creating and maintaining product-specific work instructions, setting up and maintaining parts/BOM's/Routers in our ERP system, and reviewing customer drawings for manufacturability and sourcing of external components.


The successful candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma, but an associate degree and/or some type of applicable technical training is preferred. You must have 2+ years work experience in manufacturing/costing/engineering, and be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and specification. You must also have good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications.

The salary pay range is $60k-$75k depending on experience, and there is a $1,000 sign-on bonus payable after successfully completing your introductory period.

The IT Systems Analyst derives his/her authority from the IS Manager or senior IT management. The IT Systems Analyst has sufficient authority to perform the assigned responsibilities and duties within the policies and guidelines set by the IS Manager or senior IT management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Information Systems Analyst is responsible for the following:

Maintain system access and security according to policy and procedures.

Troubleshoot all system related problems.

Manage and maintain total operation of the computer system. Update as required to minimize cost and obtain maximum utility.

Evaluate business systems for suitability for business operations. Consult users to determine software use requirement, and research hardware applicability. Document systems, and create work instructions.

Assist in test and development of business systems and applications,

DUTIES

The duties of the Information Systems Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following:

Review all requests for computer equipment.

Manage the operation of the computer systems. Ensure proper training of all personnel using the computer and ensure an adequate security system is in place.

Enforce Company policies and guidelines.

Create policies and procedures, which relate to the efficiency of the Information Systems Department.

Install and maintain software and hardware.

Document system configurations.

Support user base through "Help Desk".

Solve day-to-day issues that arise within policies of RSAC and Valex, and prioritize according to best judgment of business needs.

Electronics Technician
Georgetown, TX

Valex Corp is currently looking for an experienced electrician to join the Facilities Team. 

The Electronics Technician derives his/her authority from the Facilities Manager/ Supervisor and is directly accountable to him/her.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Repairing and modifying production equipment, facility equipment, engineering, and test equipment.

Performing preventive maintenance tasks as per the preventive maintenance program.

Identifying parts required for repairs, modifications, and design.

Preparing paperwork required for ordering parts.

Supporting Maintenance personnel in day-to-day operation.

Assisting in the development of new equipment.

DUTIES

With minimal supervision, guidance, direction, or instruction, the Electronics Technician will perform the following duties within his/her areas of expertise.

Troubleshoot problems in common to complex electro-mechanical type equipment; using Oscilloscopes, clamp meter, current tester, or multimeter then recommend and perform the appropriate repairs.

Remove, disassemble, repair, and reassemble components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.

Disconnect or install as necessary electrical equipment.  Fabricating controls, conduit, raceways of various materials and fasteners. Determine appropriate wire size and pull wires. 

Install, test, repair, and modify electrical motors, circuit boards, PLC’s, panels, fixtures, breakers, and relays for 480V and down.

Research vendor literature; determine appropriate part numbers and quantities required. Prepare purchase requisitions to acquire parts for performing repairs and preventive maintenance.

Replace bulbs and ballasts.

Perform routine preventive maintenance.

Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Safely utilize hand tools, portable power tools, and fixed shop power tools.

Train less-skilled personnel.

Perform other tasks as requested by management. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Five years previous electrical / electronic experience.

Working knowledge of Ohms law.

Supply own trade tools.

Some computer knowledge Excel, Word, and trouble shoot shop floor machine controls. 

Able to develop, read, and understand electrical diagrams and drawings.

Working knowledge of both digital and analog controls.

Read, write, and speak English.

Basic math skills.

    Assist level “3” in Fabricating sheet metal duct work and assemblies.
    Determine appropriate wire size, design conduit runs, bend and form conduit, pull wires, install electrical panels, fixtures, breakers, relays.
    Install, test, repair, and modify machinery and equipment.
    Research vendor literature, determine appropriate part numbers and quantities required, and prepare purchase requisitions to acquire parts for effecting repairs and preventive maintenance.
    Test fire sprinkler system.
    Test, repair, and modify telephone system.
    Test, repair, and modify alarm system.
    Replace bulbs and ballasts.
     Install and repair office furniture, including partition walls.
     Install and repair locks.
     Perform routine preventive maintenance.
     Perform painting, carpentry, and drywall projects.
     Move furniture, materials, and equipment.
     Maintain a clean and safe work area.
     Safely utilize hand tools, portable power tools, and fixed shop power tools.
     Train less-skilled personnel.
     Run errands as directed by supervisor or departmental manager using a company vehicle.

     Minimum Qualifications

     High school diploma.

     2 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.
     Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
     Strong familiarity with codes, standards, and accepted practices within the areas of expertise described.
