Machinist (2nd Shift)
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is hiring a Machinist to operate a CNC Lathe (Mazak) with live tooling, a CNC Lathe (Haas), and CNC Mill (Haas). This is a regular, full-time, Union position on 2nd Shift (shift pay premium applies).


The successful candidate will have CNC machining experience and their own machinist tools. You must also have the ability to program the CNC machines using verbal instructions, blueprints and/or sketches. Lastly, you will need to have effective written and verbal communication skills (in English).

Hourly rate range for this position, including 2nd shift premium, is $24.98 to $34.62 depending on experience. $2,000 sign-on bonus payable after successful completion of probationary period.

Manufacturing Helpers - 2nd Shift
Ventura, CA

We are currently hiring for 2nd shift Manufacturing Helpers in our Ventura, CA location. This is our entry-level shop position and would be a great opportunity for mechanically-inclined individuals who are interested in a career in manufacturing. These are Union, hourly-non-exempt positions that are paid weekly (shift premium applies). The general duties, responsibilities and qualifications are as follows:


Duties/Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and repetitive activities on equipment and machinery,
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment and machines such as cleaning, adjusting, and lubricating,
  • Work in one or more areas as deemed necessary by your Supervisor,
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area,
  • Ensure that only high quality products are processed through the department(s) you work in,
  • Ensure proper paperwork accompanies all parts you work on,
  • Identify and separate non-conforming parts, scrap parts, and acceptable parts, and note such on related paperwork,
  • Inform you Leadperson or Supervisor of material-, process-, or equipment-related problems,
  • Follow production schedule and work in a timely and efficient manner,
  • Follow all work and safety policies,
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality,
  • Cooperate with supervision and co-workers.

Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude is a must. You must have the ability to set up and operate various pieces of shop equipment and machinery,
  • You must have good hand-to-eye dexterity,
  • You must be physically able to work prolonged hours with heavy material (lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds),
  • You must be able to work in a loud, dirty environment and not be overly sensitive to safe levels of airborne chemical fumes,
  • If working in one of our clean rooms, you must be able to work in an enclosed temperature-controlled space with other people, while wearing head-to-toe, light-weight suits,
  • You must be able to work overtime as required,
  • Due to Safety and routing paperwork that accompanies our products around the manufacturing floor, you must have a good understanding of the English language and be able to read, write, speak it.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

This is a Union, hourly/non-exempt position that has room for growth for the right candidate. Hourly rate is $23.40 (base rate is $20.40/hr plus $3.00/hr shift differential).

Facilities Engineer
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for an experienced Facilities Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the following:

  • Project management,
  • Maintenance and improvement of manufacturing plant,
  • Determination of facility and equipment specifications,
  • Develop resource requirements and utility plans,
  • Design and layout of facility expansion and optimization,
  • Perform system evaluations and manage project costs,
  • Oversee and coordinate with contractors and vendors,
  • Plan equipment and infrastructure maintenance and activities.
The successful candidate will have a B.S. in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and 3 or more years experience in a facilities engineering role. Must have experience with AutoCAD and MS Office, knowledge of building process and construction principles, strong knowledge of structural code requirements, and excellent project management experience. Must also have effective written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 

Pay range for the position is $80,000 to $120,000 depending on experience. $2,000 sign-on bonus payable after successful completion of probationary period.

Warehouse Worker
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for a warehouse worker with 1-3 years experience to join our warehouse team. You will support shipping, receiving, production supplies, and production control to varying degrees and at the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor. You will use our automated ERP system to issue, receive, cycle count, and package inventory items, and you will transact receipts and issues of inventory items.


You must be familiar with ERP software systems (or be able to learn quickly), have experience with RF scanners, and have experience cycle counting inventory in a repetitive manufacturing environment. You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., have a valid CA driver's license, and be able to read, write, and speak English.

This is a Union, hourly/non-exempt position that has room for growth for the right candidate. Hourly rate is $20.40.

Welding Specialist
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for an experienced welder to join our growing team. This welder must have experience and/or education with the operation and programming of tungsten-inert-gas (TIG) or automated fusion welding equipment. Ind addition, MIG, heliarc, and brazing experience is desirable. You must also be able to read and interpret drawings, follow written and verbal instructions in English, lift/carry up to 25 pounds often, and be able to interface with others successfully. You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to tack butt welds, as well as perform full-penetration rotary welds with and without filler rod using a rotary table.


This is a full-time, non-exempt position and you will be expected to join our union upon hire. The hourly rate for this position is $29.70/hr.

Industrial Engineer
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for an Industrial Engineer experienced with lean manufacturing concepts who will devise efficient production systems and work instructions that integrate operators, machines, materials, information, and energy. 


The successful candidate will have a B.S. Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial or Mechanical) and two years of related experience, or will have some applicable college coursework and four or more years of directly related experienced. Must have proven experience in creating/writing efficient and effective work instructions for processes in a manufacturing environment. Must have a working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma concepts, strong math and computer skills, and excellent verbal and written communication. Position may require foreign and domestic travel on occasion, so you must be willing and able to travel when necessary.

This is a regular, exempt position with a salary range of $85,000 and $100,000 depending on experience. $2,000 sign-on bonus payable after successful completion of probation period!

Facilities Supervisor
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for a Facilities Supervisor to join its Facilities Department in Ventura, CA. This will be a hands-on position where you will be performing maintenance and making repairs on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment and on the building and grounds, while also supervising and assigning work to Facilities personnel who will be performing similar functions. You will initiate and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and a spare parts program, and you will oversee facilities machine shop operations related to the upgrade of fixtures and tooling. You will perform all other duties/projects as assigned by your manager.


This role requires a minimum of 6 years related experience working in a manufacturing environment and 2 years of previous supervisory experience. You must have a high school diploma and be able to read, write, and speak English effectively. Written and verbal communication skills are important in this role, as you'll deal with people of all levels in the course of your work.

Compensation for the position will range from $70K/yr to $100K/yr depending on experience, and you will qualify for our supervisory annual incentive plan. $2,000 sign-on bonus payable after successful completion of probationary period.

Production Planner
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for a Production Planner to join its planning department in Ventura, CA. The successful candidate will use our ERP software to plan and schedule the manifold and fittings product lines. Duties will include daily review of sales and distribution requirements, entering and maintaining ERP planning data, managing the inventory of the key components needed to assure production can meet its delivery goals on time, and working with Sales to establish delivery goals. Will also work with buyers to procure material needed to meet schedules.

The minimum requirements for this position include 2 years production planning experience in a distributed product environment, 3 years experience using ERP software, effective written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in MS Word & Excel. Must have a high school diploma but Bachelor’s in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.

The pay range for this non-exempt position is $30 - $33 per hour depending on experience.

Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is hiring an Applications Programmer I to join its IT team in Ventura, CA. Your primary duty  will be to program in Visual Studio HTML, Java, ASPX, and .Net.


You must have two years experience programming in the languages mentioned above.

This is a non-exempt position and the hourly pay range is $33.65/hr to $38.46/hr. $2,000 sign-on bonus payable after successful completion of probationary period.

Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for an experienced Buyer to join its team in Ventura, CA. Key responsibilities will include: sourcing and purchasing material that directly supports production, such as, but not limited to, floor stock, vendor services, office supplies, consumables, etc; establish and maintain relationships with suppliers; source other supplies as requested.


The successful candidate will have 2-5 years directly related experience, strong negotiation skills, strong interpersonal skills, strong follow-up skills, and experience working in an ERP system (QAD is a bonus). A high school diploma is required and a Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field is preferred.

This position is non-exempt and the hourly pay range is $30.00 to $37.00 depending on your qualifications.

Warehouse Associate
Round Rock, TX

The Warehouse Associate derives his/her authority from, and is directly accountable to, the Warehouse Lead and/or Materials Supervisor. The Warehouse Associate has sufficient authority to perform the assigned responsibilities and duties within the policies and guidelines set forth by the Company.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

The Warehouse Associate 1 is responsible for the following:
 
Following a schedule, kit and transact parts to respective work order kit picking list.         
 
Labeling of incoming parts and transaction to defined inventory locations.
        
Performing accurate weekly/monthly cycle counts of on hand material.        
 
May assist with the receiving and transaction of incoming material, including verification of items/quantities.
         
May assist with packaging and shipment of finished product. 
        
May operate a lift truck (Forklift) dependent on being certified. 
      
May perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Two or more years in a warehouse environment using an ERP system.

Familiarity with MS Windows, Word, and Excel software

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Read, write, and speak English.
