Manufacturing Helpers - 1st Shift
Ventura, CA

We are currently hiring for 1st shift Manufacturing Helpers in our Ventura, CA location. This is our entry-level shop position and would be a great opportunity for mechanically-inclined individuals who are interested in a career in manufacturing. These are Union, hourly-non-exempt positions that are paid weekly. The general duties, responsibilities and qualifications are as follows:


Duties/Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and repetitive activities on equipment and machinery,
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment and machines such as cleaning, adjusting, and lubricating,
  • Work in one or more areas as deemed necessary by your Supervisor,
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area,
  • Ensure that only high quality products are processed through the department(s) you work in,
  • Ensure proper paperwork accompanies all parts you work on,
  • Identify and separate non-conforming parts, scrap parts, and acceptable parts, and note such on related paperwork,
  • Inform you Leadperson or Supervisor of material-, process-, or equipment-related problems,
  • Follow production schedule and work in a timely and efficient manner,
  • Follow all work and safety policies,
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality,
  • Cooperate with supervision and co-workers.
Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude is a must. You must have the ability to set up and operate various pieces of shop equipment and machinery,
  • You must have good hand-to-eye dexterity,
  • You must be physically able to work prolonged hours with heavy material (lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds),
  • You must be able to work in a loud, dirty environment and not be overly sensitive to safe levels of airborne chemical fumes,
  • If working in one of our clean rooms, you must be able to work in an enclosed temperature-controlled space with other people, while wearing head-to-toe, light-weight suits,
  • You must be able to work overtime as required,
  • Due to Safety and routing paperwork that accompanies our products around the manufacturing floor, you must have a good understanding of the English language and be able to read, write, speak it.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic - 1st & 2nd Shift Positions Available
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is hiring for a Maintenance Mechanic to work in our manufacturing facility. You will perform preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic equipment. You will fabricate metal framework by welding and/or using industrial fasteners, you will fabricate tubing/piping systems using various types of material (copper, stainless steel, PVC, CPVC), and you will fabricate sheet metal duct work systems. In addition, you will also perform facility projects involving plumbing, drywall, floor repair, etc.


The successful candidate must meet or exceed the following qualifications: 4-8 years of directly related work experience in a high paced manufacturing environment; must have own tools and tool chest; must be able to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, prints, drawings, and manuals; must be able to read, write, and speak English effectively; must have a valid driver's license; must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly, must have demonstrated competency in plumbing, electrical, welding, sheet metal fabrication, HVAC, mechanical/pneumatic, hydraulic repair.

This is a Union position that is hourly-non-exempt and is paid weekly.

Facilities Clerk
Ventura, CA

The Facilities Clerk will support the Facilities Department by performing a number of tasks, including, but not limited to, inventory control and purchasing of facilities-related items, coordination of facilities-related shipments to and from the facility, assisting with preventative maintenance schedules and internal and external events, and also by inspecting the facility to identify facilities- or safety-related issues that need to be addressed and then coordinating such with the appropriate people.


The successful candidate will preferably have 2 years experience in the following areas: inventory management and purchasing, facilities maintenance administration, and general clerical experience. You must also have a high school diploma or GED (some college a plus), be computer literate (including web browsing and Microsoft Word and Excel), have good written and verbal communication skills, be able to work in a diverse team environment, and have good general clerical skills (data entry, filing, etc). The ideal candidate would be mechanically inclined and have familiarity with tools and materials associated with maintenance projects.

Quality Manager - Austin, TX
Round Rock, TX

Quality Manager

Greater Austin, TX Area

This position is fully responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Valex Corporation's Quality System and acts as the management representative for the Texas site’s Quality System. The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining the quality management system and the quality manual to assure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer specific requirements.  The Quality Manager shall act as sites liaison to consultants, customers, and third-party source inspectors. Up to 50% paid travel to the corporate headquarters (based in the US) for the first 3 months will be required for training, and then ongoing travel may be required up to 10% of the time. Valex’s primary business is the manufacturing of fluid distribution systems.

Other responsibilities will include:

·         Working with the Corporate Quality Director and the Site Management team in furnishing all necessary QA/QC equipment and labs to support the site quality operation.

·         First point of contact for site product quality issues. Lead a cross-functional team (Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials, Sales, Operations, Quality, and other company sites) to use the 8D methodology to resolve quality issues.

·         Supervise and manage Quality control inspectors, quality coordinator, quality technicians and engineers.

·         To organize and direct NMR (Non-conforming Material Report) Process

·         Support Continuous Improvement efforts by managing the CIO program (Continuous Improvement Opportunity) at the site level.

·         Make final quality decisions on the shop floor, consistent with LOP Standards. To maintain and manage the company’s visual workmanship standards (library of parts)

·         Execute all Company policies, procedures, and workbench instructions set forth by the company and other duties as requested by the Senior Management Team.

The following minimum qualifications are required:

·         The ability to initially travel for the first 3 months for up to 50% of the time to the corporate HQ based in the US for training and documentation development

·         Bachelor of Science degree.

·         Proficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint, Access, and Word.

·         Experience with ERP required. QAD experience a plus.

·         3+ Years in Supervisory and Managerial role

·         Experience in all aspects of maintaining an ISO 9001 compliance (Internal audits, hosting 3rd party audits, etc.)

·         A Mechanical Engineering background is a plus

·         CQA, CQE, CQM, and Certified Six Sigma Professionals will be highly considered

Additional Requirements:

·         The qualified candidate must possess an intimate knowledge of ISO 9001 and be a hands on, lead by example individual.

·         Knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and system driven manufacturing is highly desired. 

·         The individual must have experience with ASTM, ASME, standards and be familiar with SEMI, ISO, DIN, PED, BPE standards as well. 

·         Strong problem-solving skills (8D), working knowledge of Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence is a plus.


Manufacturing Engineer
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its growing Engineering department. The position details are below:

Duties:

·         Implement new manufacturing processes for Valex product lines.

·         Develop and coordinate the manufacture of new tooling and machines to automate the existing welding, tee pulling, and forming fabrication methods.

·         Confer with vendors in determining product specifications and equipment/material purchase required to meet design production requirements.

·         Design and develop CAD models and drawings for the machine tooling and equipment.

·         Support operations and quality departments as required, and work with manufacturing and design engineers to support production goals.

·         Continuously improve existing processes and assist in the design of new manufacturing processes in Valex overseas operations, as required.

·         Support company policies, goals, quality, and safety standards.

 Skills:

·         Knowledge of key manufacturing concepts, and ability to grasp modern technology quickly, with a demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving.

·         Knowledge of parts and materials used in electro-mechanical machinery.

·         Mechanically inclined and hands-on with the ability to assemble tools and hardware.

·         Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, documents, and engineering drawings.

·         Excellent communication skills (Proficiency in English, both written and verbal).

·         Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple projects, and is detail oriented with good analytical skills.

 Experience:

·         Experience in metal fabrication processes including  hardware, tool design, CNC programming, machining, and welding (weld lathe, and orbital welding).

·         Knowledge or exposure to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) and industrial automation applications specifically servo, stepping, and motor control.

 Qualifications:

·         BS in engineering or engineering technology.

·         Minimum 1-5 years applicable experience in related field.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, and Windows Operating System.

·         Proficiency in CAD software: Solidworks required. AutoCAD is a plus.

·         May be required to travel internationally on occasion for short periods of time.

 Bonus Skillsets:

·         Fluency in mandarin Chinese or Korean - Not a position requirement, but a plus to assist with Valex overseas factories.
