Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic - 1st and 2nd Shift
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is hiring for a 1st shift and a 2nd shift Maintenance Mechanic to work in our manufacturing facility in Ventura, CA. You will perform preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic equipment. You will fabricate metal framework by welding and/or using industrial fasteners, you will fabricate tubing/piping systems using various types of material (copper, stainless steel, PVC, CPVC), and you will fabricate sheet metal duct work systems. In addition, you will also perform facility projects involving plumbing, drywall, floor repair, etc.


The successful candidate must meet or exceed the following qualifications: 4-8 years of directly related work experience in a high paced manufacturing environment; must have own tools and tool chest; must be able to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, prints, drawings, and manuals; must be able to read, write, and speak English effectively; must have a valid driver's license; must be able to lift up to 40 pounds regularly, must have demonstrated competency in plumbing, electrical, welding, sheet metal fabrication, HVAC, mechanical/pneumatic, hydraulic repair.

This is a union position that is hourly-non-exempt and is paid weekly. The hourly pay range is $30.38 to $40.48 (DOE) per hour for 1st shift, and the 2nd shift position receives an extra $3.00 per hour in shift differential pay.

IT Administrator

Valex Corp is looking for a versatile IT Administrator to support all aspects of our IT system and its users. Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: maintaining system access and security for our network according to company policies; troubleshooting hardware and software issues; managing and maintaining network equipment, printers, copiers, phone system, and other systems related to the business; assisting departments with custom report development in our ERP system when requested, making suggestions on an enterprise or department level that will increase efficiency, and working with our parent company on larger IT projects.

Quality Manager - Ventura, CA
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join its Quality team in Ventura, CA. As the department's management representative, you will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of the Valex quality system and the quality of its products. You will ensure all incoming material is qualified and conforms to specifications prior to shipment. You will support the sales department with complaints associated with material returns and other quality issues. You will execute all company policies, procedures, and workbench instructions as set for by Valex Corp. You will responsible for and/or perform all other functions needed to assure that our internal departments and customers are adequately supported by the quality department.

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in a complimentary field and at least three years' experience as a Quality Manager. Experience in the Semiconductor industry, especially in the area of Ultra High Purity products is a big plus. You must be proficient in MS Suite, proficient in HTML (preferred, not required), and have effective written and verbal communication skills. You must also be able to travel when needed and be comfortable working under deadlines.

Machine Operator
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for a 1st shift Machine Operator to join its production team in Ventura, CA. Under limited supervision, you will use various machining equipment to supply stainless steel fittings that meet specified criteria. You will identify and separate non-conforming parts, scrap parts, and acceptable parts, and you will ensure that the proper paperwork accompanies the fittings.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years experience operating various machines in a machine shop environment. You must also be able to read blueprints and production drawings, and must be able to measure the products produced to assure conformance with the drawings and blueprint dimensions using shop math. You must be able to load, unload, operate, check, and troubleshoot all mills, lathes, computer-numerical-controlled (CNC) lathes and mills, vertical and horizontal saws, and i.d./o.d. deburring equipment for the purpose of producing 1/4" through 6" stainless steel products.

This is a union position that will require a union initiation fee to join the union and ongoing monthly dues. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with a pay range of $23.70 to $29.25 depending on your qualifications. A contract wage increase will apply in March 2026.

Electronic Technician/Electrician

Valex Corp is currently looking for an experienced Electronic Technician/Electrician who is capable of working independently while being a supportive team member to join the Facilities Team.

The Electronic Technician/Electrician derives his/her authority from the Facilities Manager/ Supervisor and is directly accountable to him/her.

RESPONSIBILITIES

-The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

-Repairing and modifying production equipment, facility equipment, engineering, and test equipment.

-Performing preventive maintenance tasks as per the preventive maintenance program.

-Identifying parts required for repairs, modifications, and design.

-Preparing paperwork required for ordering parts.

-Supporting Maintenance personnel in day-to-day operation.

-Familiar knowledge with Lockout/Tagout procedures . Ability to interpret NEC.

-Assisting in the development of new equipment.

DUTIES

With minimal supervision, guidance, direction, or instruction, the Electronic Technician/Electrician will perform the following duties within his/her areas of expertise.

-Troubleshoot problems in common to complex electro-mechanical type equipment; using Oscilloscopes, clamp meter, current tester, or multimeter then recommend and perform the appropriate repairs.

-Remove, disassemble, repair, and reassemble components, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.

-Ability to perform all tasks per NFPA 70E standards

-Disconnect or install as necessary electrical equipment. Fabricating controls, conduit, raceways of various materials and fasteners. Determine appropriate wire size and pull wires.

-Install, test, repair, and modify electrical motors, circuit boards, PLC’s, panels, fixtures, breakers, and relays for 480V and down.

-Research vendor literature; determine appropriate part numbers and quantities required. Prepare purchase requisitions to acquire parts for performing repairs and preventive maintenance.

-Replace bulbs and ballasts.

-Perform routine preventive maintenance.

-Maintain a clean and safe work area.

-Safely utilize hand tools, portable power tools, and fixed shop power tools.

-Train less-skilled personnel.

-Perform other tasks as requested by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

-Five years previous electrical / electronic experience.

-Working knowledge of Ohms law.

QC Inspector
Ventura, CA

Valex is currently looking for Quality Inspectors to join our Quality Department on 1st and 2nd Shift. Valex is a producer of high-quality, high-purity products, and your role will be to inspect our products for material defects and grade of workmanship using visual, mechanical, dimensional, and functional inspection techniques. Inspections occur throughout our process, from raw material to final inspection of finished goods.

The successful candidate will have familiarity with all of the above referenced inspection techniques and the tools and instruments associated with each. Some of those tools include calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. We also work from drawings, so experience working off of drawings is a plus. You must be experienced working with computers, and you must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Some of our material is heavy and/or awkward to work with, so you must also be physically able to lift, push, pull, grip, and grasp up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.

Machinist (CNC/Conventional)
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is seeking Machinists (CNC/Conventional) on 1st & 2nd shifts to join its team in Ventura, CA. In this position, you will fabricate tools, fixtures, and other items as required using drawings, sketches, or verbal descriptions. You will fabricate component parts where set-ups are non-routine and tolerances are difficult to acquire and maintain. You will operate and set-up a variety of machine tool equipment to extremely close and complex tolerances, including power mill, lathe, and other hand and power equipment of similar complexity. You will be accountable for safe operations and a clean and organized work area.

The successful candidate will have 4+ years of CNC and Conventional Machining experience. You must be able to read scaled drawings and be able to program the machines. Preferred experience includes knowledge of Haas mills and lathes, Mazak lathes, and conventional mills and lathes. You must be able to read, write, and speak English and have good communication skills.

This position is a union position and will require you to join the union (there is an initial initiation fee and monthly dues as part of the membership). There are three levels to this hourly position and we will bring you in at the appropriate level given your experience. The 1st shift pay range that encompasses the three levels is $23.77 to 35.28 per hour, and there is a $3/hr pay differential for the 2nd shift position.

Welder
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for primarily 2nd shift welders with some training or experience to join our team in Ventura, CA. You will perform standard production operations related to the fabrication of production stainless steel products using various welding methods. You will also weld and fabricate fixtures and tooling to support manufacturing and engineering operations, working from blueprints, drawings, and verbal instructions.

The successful candidate will have some experience in tungsten-inert-gas (TIG) welding and rotary welding equipment on a variety of materials, including stainless-steel, titanium, and copper. In addition, MIG, heliarc, and brazing experience is desirable. You must also be able to read and interpret drawings, follow written and verbal instructions in English, lift/carry up to 25 pounds often, and be able to interface with others successfully. You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to tack butt welds, as well as perform full-penetration rotary welds with and without filler rod using a rotary table.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, bargaining (union) position and you will be expected to join our union upon hire (there is a nominal initiation fee and monthly dues). There are three levels for the Welder classification and you will be hired into the level that best matches your experience/knowledge. The first shift hourly rate pay range for the three levels is $25.94 to $33.20, and there is a $3/hr shift differential for 2nd shift positions.

Production Welder
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for primarily 2nd shift production welders to join our team in Ventura, CA. You will perform standard production operations related to the fabrication of stainless steel products using various welding methods, including orbital and internal autogenous welding. You will perform routine layouts and set-ups, and check dimensions and tolerances as they apply to welding. You will supply a product which meets the criteria for this stage of work-in-progress and you will be expected to be able to identify and separate non-conforming parts(scrap parts or acceptable parts) and note such on the related paperwork.

The successful candidate will have the ability to setup and operate various pieces of shop equipment and machinery . You must be able to read, write, and speak English, and be able to follow written and verbal instructions. You must have good hand to eye dexterity, lift/carry up to 25 pounds often, and be able to interface with others successfully. You must also be capable of being certified by Valex Corp in accordance with ASME Section 9 procedure qualifications for autogenous welding. This is a full-time, non-exempt, bargaining (union) position and you will be expected to join our union upon hire (there is a nominal initiation fee and monthly dues). There are three levels for the Production Welder classification and a 2nd shift pay differential, and you will be hired into the level that best matches your experience/knowledge and shift. The 1st shift hourly rate pay range for the three levels is $22.06 to $28.31 with a $3/hr shift differential added to the rate for 2nd shift positions. There are primarily 2nd shift openings at this time.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical aptitude is a must. You must have the ability to set up and operate various pieces of shop equipment and machinery,

  • You must be physically able to work prolonged hours with heavy material (lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds),
  • You must be able to work in a loud, dirty environment and not be overly sensitive to safe levels of airborne chemical fumes,
  • If working in one of our clean rooms, you must be able to work in an enclosed temperature-controlled space with other people, while wearing head-to-toe, light-weight suits,

Manufacturing Engineer
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its engineering team in Ventura, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for the identification, evaluation, design, and implementation of cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes and equipment, in addition to making manufacturing productivity improvements to existing processes and equipment. You will also provide technical support to the operations and quality departments and perform other projects as assigned.

The successful candidate must have a B.S. degree in an applicable Engineering discipline plus 4 years of applicable experience, or 8+ years applicable experience without the completed degree. As part of your experience, you must have successfully completed projects from the design phase to the implementation phase. Accounting Clerk
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is hiring for an entry-level Accounting Clerk to join its accounting team in Ventura, CA. In this position, you will be responsible for daily and monthly accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including, but not limited to, coding/vouching invoices, cash application, and data entry for invoices and memos. You will assist the A/R and A/P Specialists with reconciliation and research, reconcile customer and vendor statements and research discrepancies. You will prepare A/R and A/P agings with a high level of commentary and communication with 3rd parties. You will also participate in month-end journal entries and account analysis.


The successful candidate will have some applicable work experience (corporate work experience preferred) and/or some level of education in the field of accounting (A/P, A/R, and general accounting procedures). In this role, you will manage internal and external manufacturing projects, including delivery, cost, inventory, capacity, and Cap Ex. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for cost estimating, ERP BOM and router accuracy, product documentation, manufacturing engineering, and application support. This role drives operational excellence by ensuring robust work instructions, production tooling, and drawing control while supporting customer engagements, supplier visits, and cross‑functional project initiatives. Key Duties


  • Lead and mentor supervisors, cost estimators, manufacturing engineers, tooling engineers, and application engineers.
  • Oversee creation, revision, and lifecycle control of product drawings, documentation, BOMs, routers, and work order instructions.
  • Ensure accurate cost estimates, manufacturing readiness, and smooth production handoff.
  • Manage production tooling design, procurement, qualification, and maintenance.

    • Maintain a rejection rate of 3% or below

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with GTAW welding process and supporting functions for tube weldment manufacturing

  • Basic PC skills for manufacturing 
  • Working knowledge of 6S and Lean principles
  • Working knowledge of copy exact and documentation control

    Shift - 2nd, 3:30pm - 12:00am

    Performs set-ups and operates mills, as well as conventional and numerical control mills and lathes. Able to work with rotating machinery. Operates multiple machines including vertical mill and horizontal turning lathe.

    Works in highly specialized manufacturing area to include machining. Performs close tolerance machining and assembly with an above average mechanical aptitude. Demonstrates the ability to solve complex manufacturing/product related problems.

    Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions on material as template for machining.

    Determine tool type and set machines for proper speed, feed, and coolant flow to optimize machine.

    Inspect and replace machine consumables and evaluate operation to certify performance is adequate.

    Collaborate with engineering to design and use holding fixtures, cutting tools, and attachments to benefit machines.

    Parts are highly complex and can include many angled, surfaces, pockets, steps, and related features on different planes.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
