Buyer/Planner
Ventura, CA

Valex is looking for a Buyer/Planner to join its team in Ventura, CA. The successful candidate will use our ERP software to plan and schedule distributed products. Duties will include daily review of sales and distribution requirements, entering and maintaining ERP planning data, managing the inventory of the key components needed to assure production can meet it's delivery goals on time, and working with Sales to establish/meet delivery goals. You will also work closely with accounting to resolve any cost or inventory issues that may arise.


The minimum requirements for this position include two years' production planning experience in a distributed product environment, two years' experience using ERP software, effective written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in MS Word & Excel, and a high school diploma. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.

This position is classified as non-exempt and the hourly pay rate is $25/hr.

Facilities Manager
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for a Facilities Manager to lead it's team of facilities personnel, including maintenance mechanics, electronic technicians, janitor(s), wastewater handler(s), etc in our Ventura, CA location. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: development and implementation a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all production equipment and supporting infrastructure; scheduling and oversight of routine maintenance activities ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency; utilization of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and manage maintenance work orders, asset history, and inventory; completion of special projects as assigned; and support other foreign and domestic locations (some travel required). You will also collaborate with the Safety team to establish and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.


The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or another related field. You must have proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. You must have a strong knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and environmental compliance. You must have excellent organizational and project management skills, and must have strong written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills.

This is a regular, exempt position with a salary range of $100k/yr - $140K/yr depending on experience.

Quality Engineer
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our Quality Department at our global headquarters in Ventura, CA. Some of the key responsibilities for the position include the following: read and interpret engineering drawings and review blueprints and specifications, use the latest drawing and QCIP to perform dimensional and visual inspections, document non-conforming material reports, create quality control inspection plans, lead and conduct internal audits, write work instructions and train quality inspectors, conduct root cause analysis and correction action, collect test samples and coordinate 3rd party test samples, input material test reports from suppliers, ensure all measuring devices and gauges are calibrated correctly, and all other duties as assigned.


Qualifications for this position include the following: B.A. or B.S. in the field of Engineering or Mathematics plus 2+ years of applicable work experience, or some college and 6+ years of directly related work experience; direct knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 System and Internal Audit; strong knowledge in mechanical engineering disciplines and metrology (GD&T); good mathematical skills; ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment that is based on continuous improvement and team collaboration; and experience in stainless steel products, ASTM and ASME tubing/piping is a plus. Must be able to work in the USA without sponsorship.

This is an exempt position with a starting salary range of $80K/yr - $100K/yr depending on experience.

Valex is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join our Team. The Technical Sales Representative is appointed by and derives his/her authority from the Senior Director, Sales and is directly accountable to him/her. The Technical Sales Representative: Life Science, Pharmaceutical & Aerospace Markets has sufficient authority to exercise the responsibilities and to perform the duties assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Sales Representative: Life Science, Pharmaceutical & Aerospace Markets is responsible for all sales-based functions supporting the Biopharmaceutical, Chromatography, Food & Beverage and Aerospace markets as directed by the Director, Corporate Sales & Marketing. This role requires up to 25-50% travel.

Sales Strategy and Execution of the listed Vertical Markets:

1) Biopharmaceutical

2) Chromatography

3) Food & Beverage

4) Aerospace

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets:

1) Provide market analysis and customer insights, industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements.

2) Identify and qualify leads, prospects, and potential clients.

3) Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits of Valex product solutions.

4) Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including marketing, engineering, and customer service) to ensure seamless customer experiences.

Relationship Building:

1) Cultivate strong relationships with existing customers and expand the customer base.

2) Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to connect with potential clients.

3) Provide exceptional customer service and address inquiries promptly.

Product Knowledge and Training:

1) Develop a deep understanding of chromatography instruments and consumables.

2) Develop a deep understanding of Valex Biopharmaceutical products (Catalog) & custom manufactured concept offerings within corporate capability.

3) Develop a deep understanding of Valex offerings that can be utilized within the Food & Beverage markets.

4) Develop a deep understanding of Valex capabilities and offerings for the Aerospace industries.

5) Train customers and inside team members on product usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

7) Develop an understanding of all market regulations and specifications. (EX. BPE) 

Sales Reporting and Forecasting:

1) Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management.

2) Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.

3) Handles incoming sales inquiries from distributors, customers.

DUTIES

The duties of the Technical Sales Representative: Life Science, Pharmaceutical & Aerospace include, but are not limited to, the following:

Sell to, and support customers, Valex distributors supporting Life Science,

Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage and Aerospace markets.

Provide inside sales team contractual requirements for customers (sales orders, quotes).

Check confirming purchase orders for accuracy.

Monitor order progress and expedite if needed.

Provide copies of all quotations to inside sales support staff.

Provide customer change orders as required to inside sale staff.

Communicate to Director, customer concerns and or satisfaction with service or products.

Collect information necessary for new customers (credit information, shipping

address, freight carrier, etc.) and complete appropriate paperwork for processing.

Collect order status data from inside sales team and advise customer of any revised delivery dates.

Research invoiced margins are on target and communicate discrepancies.

Check all new orders, change orders and back orders for accuracy after processing.

Check pending invoice register against reported sales figures from distribution centers.

Recommend to the Senior Director, Sales policies and procedures which relate to inside sales efficiency.

Perform such other duties as the Senior Director, Sales may delegate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in technical field, or 5 years industry experience.

5 years outside sales experience

Familiarity with CRM software

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

COMPENSATION

This is an exempt position and the salary range is $85K/hr t0 $120K/yr depending on experience.

Facilities Coordinator
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to join its Facilities team at our Ventura, CA location. In this position, you will be responsible for the creation, distribution, and maintenance of all preventative maintenance work orders for the location. You will also create purchase orders and source vendors, primarily related to the maintenance and repair of equipment and general operations. You will also assist the Facilities Manager with other tasks and projects as assigned.


The successful candidate will have 4+ years of related experience (in a manufacturing environment) or an AA degree in a complimentary field. You must be computer literate in the Microsoft Suite and you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This is a non-exempt position with a starting salary range of $24 - $28 per hour depending on experience.

Quality Coordinator
Ventura, CA

Valex Corp is looking for a Quality Coordinator to join its Quality team in Ventura, CA. Key responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to, the following: materials test report (MTR) data entry, document control administration (DCN), NMR and RMA tracking, maintenance of corrective action report (CAR) and supplier corrective action report (SCAR), creation of FAIR templates for QC inspection and material qualification, equipment calibration and maintenance coordination, purchasing for quality department, clerical duties (scanning, filing, data entry, etc), and all other duties assigned in support the quality department.


The successful candidate will preferably have a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a related or 2+ years of applicable experience in a manufacturing company. A working knowledge of QMS ISO 9001 and/or Lean Six Sigma is highly preferred, and experience in QC inspection methods and tools is a plus. You must be computer literate in MS Suite applications, be well organized, and have great written and verbal communication skills.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position with a starting pay range of $26-$30/hr depending on your experience.

Valex is seeking for a dedicated EH&S Manager to join our team.

The EH&S Manager is responsible for the following:

Plant safety at all Valex Texas locations. Development, implementation, maintenance and training of programs, policies and health and safety regulations that result in a safe workplace and are compliant with all applicable regulatory and company (Valex) and corporate (Reliance) policies.

Environmental compliance at all Valex Texas locations. Development, implementation, maintenance, and training of programs to assure a safe workplace and regulatory compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies with respect to acquisition, storage, use, and disposal of hazardous materials, as well as environmentally responsible disposal of other waste materials.

Preparing, maintaining, and updating safety and environmental written policies and procedures that reflect the most current laws and regulations.

To serve as the subject matter expert (SME) to all federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.

Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and training of Valex-specific policies pertaining to environmental, health, and safety. These include, but are not limited to, the company’s Emergency Response & Recovery Plan, Hearing Conservation Program, Hazard Communication Program, Fall Protection Program, Lockout-Tagout Program, Electrical Safety Program, etc.

Conduct facility safety and environmental inspections at required frequencies. Track action items and update leadership on action statuses regularly.

Administer, maintain, update, and confirm strict regulatory compliance with programs relating to hazardous material acquisition, use, storage, and disposal.

Oversee the reporting and investigations of any potential injury, accident, and/or health and safety related issue.

Create and deliver employee training as it relates to safety (toolbox meetings, emergency response, forklift, lockout-tagout, electrical, etc.) and environmental programs.

Chair the locations’ Safety Committees and implement best practices to consistently increase employee engagement.

Develop and maintain up to date JSA’s (Job Safety Analysis) and WBI’s (work bench instructions) to effectively communicate job hazards, safe work practices, and PPE requirements.

Conduct safety orientations of new employees, temporary workers, and vendors.

Act as SME of local/regional/federal regulations and company EHS policies.

In collaboration with Operations/Facilities personnel, be actively involved in the design, development, and layout of facility/work process improvements in the plant.

Develop and communicate EH&S key performance indicators and metrics for the organization. Communicate results to leadership regularly.

Other activities and special projects as directed by the Vice President of Global Operations.

Manufacturing Engineer II
Georgetown, TX

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our Valex team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality. The Manufacturing Engineer II will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective operation of our manufacturing facility, meeting the demands of our customers and maintaining compliance.

Duties

Collaborate with mechanical engineers and manufacturing teams to design, test, and implement new manufacturing processes, machinery, equipment, and tooling focusing on lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency.
Utilize SolidWorks and Creo CAD software to design and develop new manufacturing equipment, as well as modify existing equipment to improve production capacity and quality.
Create schematics and technical drawings to communicate manufacturing processes and equipment design to other team members and stakeholders.
Manage project expenses, create shop instructions and release tooling documentation.
Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and meeting project scheduling deadlines.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing processes and equipment performance, ensuring continuous learning and growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or a related field.
Four Years experience as a Manufacturing Engineer II, with a strong understanding of manufacturing       processes, tooling design and equipment.
Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing operations.
Proficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and familiarly with AutoCAD.
Experience with manufacturing schematics and technical drawings.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and ISO 9001 standards.
Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
